A Little Bit About Me

I was born in Elk City, Oklahoma and raised in Andrews, Texas.  After high school I moved to the Texas Panhandle to attend West Texas A&M where I studied voice and received a Bachelors of Music.

I would say my music taste/sound is an eclectic mix of everything I love.  My southern roots, love of jazz, and classical training meld together to make what I hope is a unique and intriquing sound.

Influences

I grew up listening to everything from Barbra Streisand & Bette Midler to Hootie & the Blowfish  and the Cranberries.  I love the jazz greats, Ella Fitzgerald, Billy Holiday, Louie Armstrong.  Being a Southern Girl I listened to my fair share of country: Willie Nelson, Reba, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Kenny Rogers etc.  I love it all.  Once in college I fell in love with Opera Singers like Cecilia Bartoli and Rene Fleming.  So, as you might imagine I have quite an eclectic playlist on my MP3 player.
