Things That Touch me and Make Me Know This is What I Need To Do.

Recently, I gave a small performance, and to me it was just another song but afterward an elderly woman came up to me with tears in her eyes. She told me that her husband is having a lot of problems related to dementia or Alzheimer’s, and that she had to hold him down because he was so touched by my voice. He kept saying to her, "Listen. She's an angel. Isn't that the most beautiful sound you have ever heard?" It is moments like that that remind me why I love to sing so much. You never know what effect you might have on someone. The best part is you never know when that will happen or how it will happen.

After I finished production on Me and The Wind I realized that the only thing that was holding me back from my dreams was my weight. I had fought it my entire life and felt it was a losing battle. I gave it one last effort and I'm so glad that I did, I have lost 98.8 lbs (as of 5/4/11) and still losing. It, like my music, has been a journey.
